Through the 'Join the cause' form (donors/subscribers) we collect name, email address, phone (optional), the type of registrant (individual, company, or organization), and the content you're interested in receiving.

Through the contact form we collect name, email address, and the content of the message you write.

We do not collect payment or financial data: the platform does not yet process online donations.

We use this data only to respond to your contact message, or to send you the subscription confirmation email and, once confirmed, to share updates about our campaigns and initiatives. We do not use your data for any other purpose, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties.

We process your data based on your explicit consent, given when you check the privacy checkbox on the subscription form, or when you send us a contact message.

When you sign up through the subscription form, we send you an email with a confirmation link. Your sign-up only becomes active if you click that link; if you don't confirm it, you won't receive any further communications and your data isn't used to send you updates.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in our emails or on the /darse-de-baja page. When you unsubscribe, your record is fully deleted from our database — we don't keep it marked as inactive, we delete it.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. We use the following technical providers to run the site and process your information, acting as processors under our instructions: website hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and transactional email delivery (our email provider). None of them use your data for their own purposes.

We keep your data for as long as your subscription is active or as long as we need to respond to your contact message. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted immediately. We are defining more specific retention periods for inactive sign-ups or old contact messages; this section will be updated once those are confirmed.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or object to the processing of your data, as well as to request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@doorcolombia.nl.

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch data protection authority), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
